Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (Statewide) – established in 1935 – was the first electric cooperative service organization of its kind in the nation. We exist for the purpose of supporting our 39 member systems with a wide variety of services including government relations, job training and safety, regulatory compliance, benefits, cooperative relations and development, community outreach, youth programs, and various forms of communication including a monthly statewide publication – Electric Consumer.
Our power is in the strong partnership between Statewide and over 2,000 electric cooperative employees and directors who provide reliable, safe and affordable energy and related services to more than 500,000 households and businesses in 89 of Indiana’s 92 counties.
Whether standing together in times of disaster or facing the many challenges of a complex industry – Statewide and Indiana’s electric cooperatives steadfastly serve the people and communities across the state with the enduring spirit of our cooperative pioneers.
